I'll be happy when....

Came across this when I was on fb today, thought I just put it up to whoever haven't seen it yet. I feel like I need it more than ever :)


We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges.

It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with ... and remember that time waits for no one.

So, stop waiting .
Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until summer..
Until spring.
Until winter.
Until fall.
Until you die.

There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and, dance like no one's watching.

I believe this. It 's like when I play puzzle, my purpose is find what the picture is, but the most exciting feeling is when among many pieces, I find 2 pieces match each others, and watch the picture appears gradually :D.

happiness is being given away rather than getting. happiness is when you share and empathize with people. Is when you do go with the sadness over someone's face and also when we live our best to bring happiness to others. I'll be happy when things are going my way, he cares for me more, I get more days off from work, my grades keep being on top hahaha NO, can't keep thinking like that because then I'll be unhappy all the time. So.... let's do it again.

Today I'm happy because my parents are still doing well. I'm happy because I still have a roof to live under, a bed to sleep in, a car to drive, food to eat and luxury things I'm still able to afford. I'm also happy because I still have someone to love and to hope for (even he doesn't really feel the same way for me anymore) and I'm happy that I still have a goal to pursuit, to live for.

@kenx: agree, especially when you have to "give up" on your lover so that he/she could moving on without hesitation. You still love them, but let them moving on is best for the situation :sr: You see their happiness as yours.
