Glamorous Indie Rock 'n' Roll
Tối nay đọc Tuổi Trẻ, có 1 mục nhỏ đưa tin từ BBC:
Tạp chí âm nhạc NME nổi tiếng của U.K đã có 1 cuộc bầu chọn 50 albums nhạc hay nhất thập kỷ.
Trong đó "Is This It" của The Strokes vinh dự đứng ở vị trí đầu tiên .
Và trong top 10 albums hay nhất còn có: "Whatever people say I am, that's what I am not" - Artic Monkeys, "Fever to tell" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs, "Stories from the city, "Stories from the sea" - PJ Harvey, ""Funeral" - Arcade Fire, "Turns on the bright lights" - Interpol & "In Rainbows" của Radiohead .
Nhìn lại hầu hết trong số những albums hay nhất ấy đều là những album nhạc Indie Alternative/ Indie Rock'n'Roll.
Cảm giác thật hạnh phúc khi thể loại nhạc mà tôi yêu thích nhất được tôn vinh 1 cách đầy trân trọng.
Vẫn nhớ khi The Killers còn chưa nổi tiếng và đổi sang âm thanh như trong "Day & Age" bây giờ , thì nhóm vẫn được xếp vào hàng 1 trong những indie band được yêu thích nhất bởi các indie-fans.
Một trong những ca khúc nổi tiếng từ album "Sawdust" có cái tên: "Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll" với câu hát:
"It's in my soul, it's what I want. Indie Rock & Roll for me."
- The Killers.
Đó chính là cảm hứng để tôi làm bộ sưu tập này.
Bỏ lại bên ngoài những hư ảo, ồn ào của âm nhạc giải trí hay tách xa khỏi những cao siêu xa vời của âm nhạc hàn lâm, Indie Music là những gì giản dị, chân thành nhất.
Indie music không dành cho những ai có mộng làm *sao*. Nó chỉ dành cho những người có ước mơ được sống hết mình, được là chính mình, tự do không ràng buộc, được là ngọn lửa, cháy hết mình trong phút chốc mà thôi...

"Just pick up a guitar and play."
