Maybe, she means "Superstition" which is described as any belief that is inconsistent with the known laws of science or with what is considered true and rational; such a belief in omens, the supernatural, Friday 13, etc.

From what I guess, she has a topic what is about "superstition", something like "what is superstition?, etc". She does not know the topic well and therefore, she has problem to present the topic via presentation, writing or whatever it is.

@innocentdarkness: I think you're over-reacting. Maybe she, the pic's owner isn't very good at describing her thought by words. It IS just the matter what you'd learn from your mistakes. :)

@myworld: Is this some kind of project you're working on? Well, to what I know, being superstitious is believing in overnatural things, for example: UFO, ghost, Big Foot, Monster in the Lochness Lake, witches and ect. Breaking a mirror and you'll hhave bad luck in 7 years; putting keys on table and the rest of the day is soooo a disaster...

Superstition is a sign of illiteracy, uneducating, simply stupidness and dependence. There are some native people tribes harm theirselves by their own religion. I've even seen a so-called Oldie healing a person by telling him to eat kind of crapy weed. In result, that poor man died several days after, and his family was blamed for "The curse of God on our Village".

Human's mental is quite unbalanced. Of course, we're not always glad, happy, but there are moments we feels like crap, depressed, sad ect. Likewise the strong development through centuries of Religion, Superstition was created by human's imagination, depends on our sensimental weakness. Yeah, we need to believe in something to succeed something else easier. Sometimes, I find my silly self quite funny. Before the exam, I usually pray: "Please, please, I've only learned half of the book. God, help me". Oh, big pressure upon my chest makes me go panic, silly as a dull Blondy. Till now, I'm still laughing at myself, remembering what Momma have told me (thousands times): Do not be superstitious!!!

Yes , may be I'm overreacting just a bit . But that's beside the point .

If a person's being superstitious , it means that the person is showing ignorance of the laws of nature and faith in magic or chance . They believe in magic and witchcraft and supernatural creatures and stuff .
Vietnamese called superstitious mê tín . The people who always believe that fortune tellers have magic and they can actually see the future . That's not necessarily wrong . Some people like to believe in magic . But some other people just think that's crap and what's the point of believing in it if it doesn't exist .

But I myself like to believe in magic , it just makes life more interesting . Believing in the supernatural is not a wrong thing , yes some people might call you crazy just for saying that you believe fairies exist but just screw them , their life is cracked up and stressed out that they don't even have time to relax and enjoy their lives and believe in magic . You can believe in magic or the supernatural but don't let it affect your reality . When you go out for a walk or leave for a party , remember to lock your door . Just don't believe that god will guard it for you , that won't happen .

So I think that humans can believe what they choose to believe because we all have different destinies . We have different lives and emotions so it'll be a hell of a lot better if we believe in different things . Believe but don't get too obsess ! That is basically what I'm saying hehehe . Peace out !

---> This reminds me when I read a....kind of news on a Forum, acknowledging there might exist creatures we don't know out there. It was like taken aback, couldn't say a word about it. Hands was quivering of such childish excitement (although I was 15 and 3 months then). Frozen...Stammering utteringly: "I....is this....rea...real?" Ack, I'm always like that: Silly, quick-moved. But then, after closing my eyes, a while for calming my crazy self, I laughed at the 1-minute-ago moment. Oh, this is gonna be a good story to write about, I told myself. And then, the rest of it became history (I posses a real short-termed memory, I guess -_-'')

Yeah, I'm not a believer. But I do believe my...."private" belief :D :D Laugh it off, my friend.

Well , people have different beliefs . I always think that dragon exist , I mean where do you think the stories come from ? They were once alive but then may be extinct like the dinosaurs or runaway to a secret place or something . I think magical creatures are so fascinating . Eventhough everytime I tell my friend that I want to a vampire , they'd laugh at me like I'm some kind of idiot or something . I think magic always make life easier . I mean I believe but I'm not obsess , I still know what reality is . Have you ever watch the series Charmed ? You live in USA right ? Charmed is a witchcraft tv show , supernatural but very interesting . I love Charmed , I actually like all supernatural series but Charmed is my favorite . Lots of werewolves and angels and witches . So I think that the supernatural world DOES exist .

I do believe that magic exists. There are things that no logic can explain like... Take telepathy for example. Usually if two people are so attach to each other, they will have these indescribable feelings toward other. I saw a video about an experiment where they put two boys who are twins in 2 different rooms. Then they start video tape the 2 boys’ actions. Magically these two boys do the same actions, at the same time, and the weirdest part is they eat the same type of food on the table at the same time. When they go to sleep, one sleeps on the right and the other sleeps on the left side of the rooms. Me and my friend, well, we are really closed to each other. So closed that people say if we are of the opposite genders we would make a great couple, but that’s under the record. Well, there was this day when we went out with our friends. We’re there at the place and all were waiting for him. Then I picked up a phone call, I immediately said “you’re still in bed aren’t ya?” He was like “you’re scary, how do you know it was me, and how do you know that I’m still in bed?” I said “how do you know that you’re talking to the right person?” We decided to leave first then when he came someone would return to pick him up. Then sometimes later, we’re at 7/11 buying some snacks since one of us was hungry. I suddenly turned around, returned to the MRT station, and he was just walking out of the MRT… everyone was like “WEIRD”. I was like “no, I was just getting déjà vu, so I returned to check”.
If things like déjà vu and telepathy do work sometimes… I think magic is just another one of the pack. It is just my opinion though… :rain:
